Ecosure helps community sustainability groups secure funding

The Community Sustainability Action grants – Round 3: Protecting Queensland’s Threatened Species will provide grants of up to $100,000 (excluding GST) to eligible recipients for on-ground projects which benefit Queensland’s threatened flora and fauna species. Up to $1.5 million in funding is available.

Activities funded will be those which encourage community participation and engagement and may include but not be limited to:

  • Habitat improvement and protection activities such as weeding, revegetation and pest animal control
  • Fire management
  • Fencing
  • Flora and fauna surveys and mapping
  • Disease management

If your organisation is considering a project, Ecosure can assist with scientific advice, proposal development and submission, ecological restoration training for your volunteers and support with on-ground activities, project monitoring and project reporting.

DES recommends applicants seek technical/scientific advice regarding the proposed project prior to making a submission. Ecosure’s team of environmental scientists and restoration ecologists will ensure your application fulfils the funding criteria and clearly articulates how your project supports the conservation and recovery of the threatened species important to you and your organisation. Don’t wait.

Applications close 4:00pm on 2 July 2019. Contact our team today if we can help on 1300 112 021 or visit ecosure.com.au
