Ecosure prides itself on its impeccable reputation with federal, state and local governments. For more than 20 years we have partnered with government departments throughout Queensland and New South Wales to deliver vital environmental services. Whether it be for infrastructure development, strategic planning, koala conservation, threatened species management, pest management, flying-fox management or weed control and restoration of natural areas, Ecosure delivers superior quality every time.
With more than 90 environmental in-house specialists, Ecosure can draw on a diverse range of experts in their chosen field to satisfy project expectations, no matter how large or small the project scope. As an Environmental Consultancy we understand the need to adhere to timelines, help with public awareness and education, as well as offer value for taxpayer’s money.
On behalf of the Queensland State Government, Ecosure is currently working on the largest koala conservation project ever undertaken in the state. By the end of the five year contract, Queensland’s iconic koalas will have an expanded sanctuary to call home in the south east’s largest eucalypt forest remnant, the Karawatha-Flinders corridor. Eighteen months in, this project has seen the collection and propagation of local seed, the establishment of tracks to assist ongoing maintenance, the construction of 16 km of fauna friendly fencing, large scale weed control and the planting of more than 113,000 koala trees.
Meanwhile, Ecosure continues its industry leading work with flying-foxes. Over the past few years we have assisted more than 14 councils with management of this commonly misunderstood native animal. Flying-fox specialists working on these projects are well respected and frequently asked to contribute to the development of government policies, at both state and federal level. Our staff are also seconded into local governments for long term placements. Ecosure enjoys working collaboratively and values opportunities to engage with multiple stakeholders.
