Fauna Ecologist

We are looking for an enthusiastic Ecologist to join our Environmental Services team. Ideally, we are seeking a Terrestrial Fauna Ecologist, with strong skills in Australian fauna survey, identification, handling and management. You will have the opportunity to assist in delivering environmental management and conservation planning solutions on both large and small-scale projects throughout Queensland for a variety of clients.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Ecology/Zoology/Environmental Science.
  • Working knowledge of Queensland and Commonwealth environmental legislation.
  • Skills and experience in fauna surveys and reporting; wildlife management; and fauna identification and handling.
  • Working knowledge of Queensland regional ecosystems framework.
  • Queensland flora species and fauna habitat knowledge and identification skills.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Impact Statement requirements in QLD relating to fauna ecology.
  • Experience in planning, coordinating and undertaking ecological fieldwork.

SEQ Environmental Services Team Leader (Senior Ecologist)

Due to recent growth, we are looking for a passionate Team Leader to join our Environmental Services team in South-East Queensland. Ideally, we are seeking a Senior Ecologist or Senior Environmental Scientist, with strong skills in team leadership and environmental project management.

This role will be managing project operations from inception to completion, and be involved in environmental assessments in accordance with State and Commonwealth guidelines. Key tasks will include data management, report preparation, proposal preparation, client liaison, and a strong focus on project and budget management.

About You 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science/Environmental Planning/Ecology/Zoology or other related disciplines.
  • Working knowledge of QLD, NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation.
  • Skills and experience in ecological surveys and reporting in QLD and/or NSW.
  • Strong project, budget, and client management skills.
  • Bid and proposal management experience.
  • Experience in Environmental Impact Statement requirements in QLD and/or NSW relating to ecology.

Due to recent growth, we are looking for a passionate Team Manager to join our Wildlife Services team in South-East Queensland. This role will be managing project operations and logistics from inception to completion and undertaking work across Australia for a range of clients (primarily local and state government). 

About You

  • Formal qualifications in business management, project management, natural resource management or related discipline

  • 3+ years’ experience in a operations role or similar in the environment/consulting industry

The aim of ecological restoration projects is to restore the health, integrity, diversity and resilience of vegetation and habitat. You will be directly linked with this process by applying regular weed control while also carrying out other tasks such as planting.
