Finance Officer – Brisbane or Gold Coast

We are currently looking for Finance Officer to join us on a permanent full-time basis. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment with initiative, excellent organisational skills, and an improvement focused mindset.

About The Role

As a Finance Officer, you’ll be responsible for day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, bank and credit card reconciliations, and assisting with the preparation of month-end management accounts. You’ll also assist with monthly BAS and Payroll Tax lodgement. This role requires hands-on involvement and strong technical understanding

Key Responsibilities:

    • Handling accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
    • Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
    • Assisting with the preparation and lodgement of BAS and Payroll Tax
    • Assisting with payroll processing, including superannuation preparation and lodgement
    • Understanding of prepayments and accruals
    • Providing support for month-end close and financial reporting
    • Utilising NetSuite ERP or similar systems in daily operations

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar finance role

    Wildlife Field Operative – Gold Coast

    We are currently looking for Wildlife Field Operatives to join our Gold Coast based, South East Queensland Wildlife team on a casual basis. The ideal candidate is someone with initiative and a strong work ethic who prioritises safety and demonstrates strong situational awareness. Essential to this role is a determination and passion to achieve positive ecological outcomes.

    This role is field orientated and will involve assisting the Central Queensland Wildlife team in delivering projects including:

    • threatened species surveys and monitoring
    • flying-fox management and monitoring
    • bird management and monitoring
    • pest animal management and monitoring
    • fauna spotter catching and wildlife relocation services.

    About You

    Required Skills:

    Bush Regeneration Supervisor – South East QLD

    We are seeking full-time Bush Regeneration Supervisors for our South East Queensland teams, specifically across Brisbane, Lockyer Valley, Ipswich & Gold Coast areas! 

    You will contribute to the recovery of a range of sites containing a diversity of ecosystem types. You will have the opportunity to apply a range of restoration approaches, including assisted regeneration and revegetation, and carry out weed control within old growth ecosystems. The aim of ecological restoration projects is to restore the health, integrity, diversity and resilience of vegetation and habitat. You will be directly linked with this process by applying regular weed control while also carrying out other tasks such as planting.

    This is a full-time role with a salary range of $72,300 to $81,250 depending on Award level and experience. Ecosure offers great pay for great people to get great results for the diverse sites and ecosystems we aim to recover.

    About You

    As a Bush Regeneration Supervisor, you will have: 

    • A minimum of Certificate III in Conservation and Land Management (Natural Area Restoration) or equivalent (e.g Bachelor’s Degree) and experience.

    Ecologist – Central QLD

    Ecosure is seeking an enthusiastic Ecologist to join our central Queensland Wildlife team, based in Rockhampton. This role would suit an experienced fauna ecologist or wildlife biologist who is seeking to manage their own projects while furthering their experience and knowledge in the field.

     As an ecologist, you will manage multi-faceted projects from inception to completion, undertaking work for a range of clients in the renewables, local and state government and construction sectors. 

    Key project areas for the role include: 

    • management of small to medium-sized projects
    • wildlife population assessments, fauna surveys and threatened species monitoring 
    • pre-clearance surveys and fauna spotter catcher works
    • compilation of wildlife management plans for a range of threatened and/or pest species  
    • human-wildlife conflict mitigation and co-existence
    • threat identification and mitigation including pest animal management strategies. 

     

    About You

    To be successful in this role you will have:

    • qualifications in one or more of wildlife biology, ecology, environmental science or related disciplines 
    • understanding of wildlife management principles and fauna survey methods 
    • experience working within a commercial consultancy or a similar multi-faceted fast paced work environment
    • proven track record of managing project timeframes, field resources, and budgets
    • have working knowledge of relevant Australian legislation, planning policy and, best practice guidance, and how these relate to projects
    • excellent communication and presentation skills and an ability to convey information accurately
    • fluent proposal and report writing ability and technical writing skills
    • strong OH&S standards and the ability to prioritise the safety of the teams in the field
    • an Australian manual driver’s licence.
