NSW Biodiversity Offsets Scheme

Our skilled team of accredited Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM) assessors assist NSW landholders to achieve long-term environmental outcomes, and also provide flexibility for proponents seeking to develop land. Our extensive experience in locating threatened species using the latest technology including camera traps, Anabat, songmeters, data capture devices and GIS allows us to maximise species credits available to our clients.

Ecosure’s BAM accredited assessors can provide the following services to NSW landholders:

  • Biodiversity Stewardship Agreements (BSA): We can assist landholders to generate and sell biodiversity credits that can be sold to a developer, the Biodiversity Conservation Trust, or to other interested parties such as philanthropic groups.
  • Biodiversity Stewardship Site Assessment Reports (BSSAR): We can develop and submit BSSAR’s to the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment as part of a Biodiversity Stewardship Agreement.
  • Biodiversity Certification Assessment Reports: We can develop streamlined biodiversity assessments for land that identifies areas that can be developed and measures to offset potential impacts.
  • Biodiversity Development Assessment Reports (BDAR): We can identify how to avoid, minimise and offset impacts on native vegetation or biodiversity listed under the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016 and the Biodiversity Regulation 2017.
