We continue to have teams running out of the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and west of Brisbane around Wivenhoe and in the Lockyer Valley. The crew continue to deliver high quality on ground ecological restoration in this time of COVID-19. Ecosure reacted to the emerging situation early on and for more than 4 weeks our office and support teams have been working from home. A risk assessment noted the highest risk for our on-ground teams was travelling to and from site together in a vehicle. And in order to be compliant with the social distancing rules and hygiene requirements we have also implemented a range of solutions to minimise contracting or spreading COVID-19.
All team members wear face masks in the vehicle, we ensure they travel for no longer than two hours to a site, and the vehicle must be well ventilated. At the start and end of each day, the vehicles are wiped down with disinfectant (i.e. on the steering wheel, gear sticks, hand brake, arm rests, door handles, middle console, glove box and even head rests) to reduce possible spread. All tools and equipment are also disinfected at the end of each day and teams are regularly communicated with and reminded to stay at home if feeling unwell. Ecosure is doing everything possible to ensure our teams are as safe and well as possible. At this stage we are running full tilt restoring more than 100 sites across south east Queensland. If you need your natural area restored, burn block preparation completed, any ecological restoration advice or bush regeneration work completed please don’t hesitate to contact our team on 1300 112 021.
