Celebrating together at our Annual All Staff
Ecosure staff recently travelled from all over Queensland to celebrate another successful year at our Annual All Staff event in Southeast Queensland’s Scenic Rim. We came together for a day and night of collaboration, training, learning, and mingling, and we shared highlights from the year that was and looked forward to the year ahead. It was fantastic to catch up with people face to face following ongoing COVID restrictions and our geographically dispersed teams.
The All Staff was the official launch of our Reflect – Reconciliation Action Plan, which outlines our commitment to foster respectful and collaborative relationships and provide opportunities for First Nations Peoples. We were fortunate enough to have Abigail Chaloupka from the Tamborine Dreaming Project open proceedings with a Traditional Smoking Ceremony to cleanse and protect those present, and we then explored what it means to “Belong to Country” as our keynote talk.
Each year staff submit nominations for our Annual Awards. Congratulations to our 2021 winners Nicole Chaplin (People, Safety and Culture Advisor) – Employee of the Year, Jake Smith-Moloney (Bush Regenerator) – Health & Safety Innovation Award and Lachlan Woolley (Bush Regeneration Supervisor) – Eco Award. We are looking forward to another All Staff in 2022, with our growing team and borders between states opening, it will be our biggest event yet!
