Duncan joined the Ecosure team in 2013, bringing with him a diverse skill set and a strong commitment to environmental conservation. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience in ecological restoration, revegetation, weed mapping, BioCondition assessments, vegetation community and regional ecosystem classification, offset monitoring, logistics, equipment coordination, project estimating, human resource and people management, resourcing, flora and fauna identification, and ecological contracting.
Prior to joining the environmental sector, Duncan worked in the travel industry. He later made a deliberate career shift to pursue his passion for conservation. As a bush regeneration supervisor and accredited member of the Australian Association of Bush Regenerators, Duncan consistently delivered high-quality outcomes across a wide variety of sites in South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. His in-depth understanding of ecological restoration techniques and weed control methods has been key to his success in the field.
In his current role as Field Team Operations Manager, Duncan effectively combines his hands-on field expertise with strong leadership and operational oversight. He manages field teams across multiple contracts and provides critical support to the wider Ecosure team. His comprehensive knowledge of ecosystems, ecological contracting, machinery, team management, and outcome-focused strategies has enabled him to contribute meaningfully to numerous successful ecological projects.
