Ecosure Celebrates International Women's Day #EmbraceEquity
Ecosure celebrated International Women’s Day in March with a morning tea making time to discuss this years theme of #embrace equity not just equality. Reflecting on how we can continue to create a safe, equitable and diverse workplace for all our employees, our team shared their personal stories and experiences of embracing flexible working arrangements that support both their roles within Ecosure as well as other commitments they have outside of work and what the term equity means to individuals and teams.
At Ecosure we are proud to recognise the extraordinary women and their courage, tenacity, and success who are part of our team. We strive to provide equitable opportunities that consider both our organisation’s objectives as well as individuals’ needs through flexible working arrangements, supportive policies and personalised team development plans.
We strongly believe that a great workplace should be equitable, not just equal. That means everyone is given the same opportunities to express themselves in the workplace regardless of their gender or any other factor. Through our commitment to equity, we pride ourselves on providing a safe and supportive work environment where employees can reach their full potential while embracing diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
To ensure our team are fully supported, Ecosure has implemented initiatives including flexible working arrangements, such as remote and part-time options; additional parental leave; regular workshops to promote training; dedicated time for professional development; and an Employee Assistance Program.
Women share key roles including leadership roles across Ecosure and we are proud to see these numbers:
- 40% of leadership positions held by females
- 44% female employees in total
- 4% representing Indigenous women within our workforce
We continue to empower and support our employees – both male and female – in their professional development. We will continue to create an inclusive workplace with equitable opportunities that help us reach our organisational goals while also catering for individual needs.
As we reflect on International Women’s Day, let’s collectively take action towards creating an environment where all genders are treated equally. Together we can continue to foster equity rather than equality by removing barriers preventing individuals from achieving professional success regardless of gender or other identifying factors.
