James is a Senior Wildlife Biologist with 12 years’ experience within the consulting, intergovernmental, and not-for-profit sectors.
He originally studied Zoology at the University of Cambridge, UK, before spending several years working for international environmental organisations in East and South East Asia. There he built his skills through managing complex, multi-country projects and programs focusing on threatened species conservation, combatting illegal wildlife trade, protected area management, sustainable development planning, civil society capacity building, and related topics.
More recently James has focused on developing his skills as a trainer, facilitating training and assessment workshops on the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species™ across the Asia-Pacific region.
