Michael commenced with Ecosure as a casual Field Operative in 2015 assisting primarily with weed management and bush regeneration projects. Michael has since moved into the role of Regional Project Coordinator role based in Townsville and has been involved in water quality projects, ecological surveys, fauna management, GIS mapping, construction projects and project management.
Michael has a strong background in GIS and computing systems working with both ARCGIS and QGIS, utilising these tools in completing desktop assessments, data analysis, management plans and reporting. Michael is also adept to working in remote locations through competent use of GPS’s, communicating with UHF and VHF radios, map reading and navigation, driving a 4WD and working in arduous conditions. Working as a Height Safety Specialist Provider has contributed to Michael’s positive attitude towards safety and how it can be implemented into the workplace.
