By now we know that carbon emissions are a leading factor in climate change, and Ecosure is committed to reducing our carbon emissions to align with our corporate mission and values. We implement sustainability initiatives, efficient processes and choose carbon neutral alternatives where possible to reduce our carbon footprint and our climate impact to as low as possible. As of 1 July 2021, unavoidable emissions will be offset through the Aboriginal Carbon Foundation, an organisation that focuses on social, cultural, environmental, and economic benefits for Traditional Owners and provides opportunities for inter-generational learning and Connection to Country. We calculate and offset our operational carbon emissions (including fuel, flights and electricity) but exclude product carbon footprint and other complex emissions that require specialist analysis.
Becoming carbon neutral is an important step in the right direction. Ecosure will continue supporting businesses that are working towards creating a more sustainable future, while we continue to improve ecosystems.
