Geoff has 25 years experience in the field of natural resource management working in the areas of vegetation management, vegetation offsets, environmental planning and assessment, vegetation mapping, biodiversity assessment, regional ecosystem mapping, flora and fauna surveys, in both Queensland and New South Wales.
He has project managed a range of Environmental Impact Studies in the Central Queensland region to successfully achieve ecologically sustainable outcomes for clients. Geoff’s extensive knowledge of legislation, including the Sustainable Planning Act 2009, and the Vegetation Management Act 1999, Environmental Impact Statement processes and Integrated Development Assessment Systems (IDAS), as well as his thorough knowledge of Queensland’s Regional Ecosystem mapping enables him to provide high quality advice and guidance to clients and colleagues.
Geoff is also experienced as an expert witness in environmental court cases in both Queensland and NSW, and has given adversarial and joint conference expert testimony in court. Geoff has been accepted by courts in matters of botany, ecology, offsets, fauna habitat requirements, vegetation mapping and GIS.
