Celebrating 10 Years in Central Queensland

2020 – this is the year Ecosure celebrates 10 years in Rockhampton!

Over the last 10 years, the CQ team has grown from 2 staff members to 11 full-time staff and 10 part-time and casual field staff.  We are a total team of 20 and growing! We have also established long-term relationships delivering vegetation and wildlife management, environmental services and advice for local councils, natural resource management groups, industry and the rural sector.

Did you know 75% of our Leadership team have advanced within the business over time as they have kicked goals! This includes our General Manager, Diane Lanyon who started in Central Queensland in 2012 as a Project Manager, and moved onto the role of CQ Regional Manager. Similarly our Business Process Manager, Heather Richards, started in 2014 as a Team Leader and then served as CQ Regional Manager. Paul Wileman, started as a Senior Project Manager in 2017 and early this year started as our new Regional Manager in Central Queensland.

Most of our permanent graduates, environmental scientists and ecologists in CQ started as casual employees. They were then encouraged to do an environmental science degree with CQUniversity. As a flexible employer we worked around their busy study schedules and a lot of our team members have been with us for 5 years plus!

Ecosure are always looking for opportunities to grow its staff capabilities and offer opportunities to grow within the business. We are building our links to local traditional owners in each of the areas we work in by providing jobs and traineeships.

We’re certainly looking to continue to building on our rich history in Central Queensland, for another 10+years!
